The Best Meditation Guide EVER.

Review Date: April 21, 1999

I have wanted to start meditating to help with my depression. The other books I have read on the subject were confusing or hard to understand. Most were doing it through religion. This book enables the reader to keep his or her faith and helps to intergrate that into the meditation practice. It is very easy to read and understand. I was able to start meditating right away. I am pleased with the results so far. I now meditate regularly. I loved this book.
my 3rd book on meditation

i had to muddle through 2 other books before finding this one. it answers all the questions i had, like "what if i get an itch? can i scratch it?" and "i just had an insight. can i stop and write it down?" the meditation exercises given actually work! to be honest, i'm not through reading this book, and i may never be. when i finish reading it cover to cover, i intend to consult it regularly.
A comprehensive, easy to understand meditation book

I started with Mr. Davich's later book, "8 minute meditation" and enjoyed it so much that I sought this one out. I wasn't disappointed. It is a comprehensive book on many forms of meditation. And it is written in the clear, easy to understand manner that his other books are. I really recommend this to anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of meditation.

Understanding the basics

Reviewer: Jason Williams,
For someone such as myself who had very little knowledge about meditation or how to get started, this book provides you with a "brief" overview on the many styles (accompanied by practical examples)of meditation, predominately Eastern. This book has now given me enough information to investigate more deeply into the styles of meditation that appeal to me. For those starting out, or those who are looking to investigate and obtain a brief overview on other styles of meditation, I would certainly recommend this book.
Great Guide

I don't need to say too much about this book, but I found that it is one of the best books on meditation! I refer to it often.
