Yoga has been practiced by people the world over for many centuries, and it is still very popular today. Many people use it to strengthen the mind, body and spirit connection. There are actually several forms of yoga, and a seemingly infinite array of poses and postures that can be used. But however you choose to make use of yoga exercise, here are the top five benefits of including yoga in your home fitness routine.
1. Yoga not only strengthens your muscles but also increases their flexibility. Many people today use weight training to help build larger more powerful muscles. However, short and powerful muscles can be prone to injury. And flexibility is often ignored in many workout routines. Yoga can help round out your workout schedule, not only strengthening the muscles of your body but also making them flexible enough to protect you from injury as you exercise.
2. Yoga also helps increase your energy level. There is an emphasis on increasing the oxygen level in your blood while doing yoga exercises, and that in turn leads to a more energetic overall feeling. And because of the increased flexibility that yoga brings, there is a tendency to move more anyway because there is a wider range of free movement available in the body. And staying active also leads to higher energy levels as well.
3. Yoga also stimulates endocrine gland function by utilizing twisting and bending poses that activate the endocrine system and helps normalize sluggish glands.
4. One of the most popular benefits of yoga exercises is that it not only strengthens and improves your physical condition, but also helps relieve stress and tension to improve your mental outlook too. Today’s society is fast-paced and hectic, and this can take its toll on one both physically and mentally. Yoga recognizes this, and many of the slow stretching movements and deep breathing that is part of most yoga exercises help clear your mind of the cares of the day and focus it on positive things instead.
5. Closely related to your mood and mental outlook are other psychological benefits of using yoga. Very often we carry negative messages and feelings inside, and the practice of yoga helps a person better tune into the person that they are inside, increasing self awareness and self esteem.
There are lots of other advantages and benefits of adding yoga exercise into your fitness workouts, including the fact that it is both inexpensive and relatively easy to do. You may find by incorporating yoga into your daily routine, that even more benefits become readily apparent. This is fine because yoga is a deeply personal experience. It is not necessarily the same for each person who practices it. But hopefully the benefits of yoga exercise that we have covered in this article will help convince you that it should be a major part of your daily fitness routine from now on.

Yoga is a family of ancient spiritual practices dating back more than 5000 years from India. It is one of the six schools of Hindu philosophy. In India, Yoga is seen as a means to both physiological and spiritual mastery. Outside India, Yoga has become primarily associated with the practice of asanas (postures).
Yoga as a means of spiritual attainment is central to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism and has influenced other religious and spiritual practices throughout the world. Hindu texts establishing the basis for yoga include the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and many others.
The four main paths of Yoga are
• Karma yoga: The yoga of action in the world
• Jnana yoga: The yoga of knowledge and intellectual endeavor
• Bhakti yoga: The yoga of devotion to a deity
• Raja yoga: The yoga of meditation
A committed practitioner of yoga is referred to as a yogi, yogin (masculine), or yogini (feminine).
The aims of the yoga practitioners are extremely varied.
1. Inspiration of Spiritual Element
2. Increased Flexibility and Fitness
3. Solutions to varied Health Disorders
4. All – round development : Mind, Body, Soul
Yoga entails mastery over the body, mind, and emotional self, and transcendence of desire. According to the followers, the Yogi eventually reaches the enlightened state (Moksha) where there is a cessation of thought and an experience of blissful union. This union may be of the individual soul (Atman) with the supreme Reality (Brahman), as in Advaita Vedanta; with a specific god or goddess, as in Dvaita, or dualistic forms of Hinduism and some forms of Buddhism.
Common to most forms of yoga is the practice of concentration (dharana) and meditation (dhyana). The awareness is concentrated on a fine point of sensation (such as that of the breath entering and leaving the nostrils). Sustained single-pointed concentration gradually leads to meditation (dhyana), in which the inner faculties are able to expand and merge with something vast. Meditators sometimes report feelings of peace, joy, and oneness.
Advantages of Yoga
Yoga emphasizes treatment of the root cause of an ailment. It works in a slow, subtle and miraculous manner. Modern medicine can claim to save a life at a critical stage, but, for complete recovery and regaining of normal health, one must believe in the efficiency of yoga therapy.
On a physical level Yoga postures stimulate the glands, organs, muscles and nerves in ways that traditional exercise cannot. Muscle tightness and strain is quickly relieved and both circulation and digestion improves. Stress-related symptoms like poor sleep, fatigue, muscle spasms, anxiety, and indigestion are greatly improved.
Through continued practice Yoga postures can have a profound effect on the inner dimensions of life, establishing deep calm, concentration, emotional stability and confidence.

Core power yoga is a vigorous yoga exercise that physically and mentally challenges you to connect to an inner power. It heals, detoxifies and stimulates the body and mind through balance and intention.
This special form of yoga has created an energetic, challenging program that combines strength, sweat and spirituality. It recognizes power in different levels; firstly is the physical power which develops the body`s strength and enhances health; secondly is the mental power or the will to focus on the practice; and thirdly, the spiritual power which is the power behind the physical and mental power.
Core power yoga is the Western style of the Indian Ashtanga Yoga. The name was coined by Beryl Bender Birch, an Ashtanga Yoga instructor. It has been brought to the west by followers of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, an acclaimed Sanskrit scholar who inspired Western Yogis with his Ashtanga Yoga Style and philosophies.
There are three programs available. “Core Power” is designed to strengthen abdominals and back and includes both abs-focused Vinyasa power yoga poses and variations of muscle-toning moves. “Unlocking Athletic Power” will develop supple strength with an importance on abs, back, hips and pelvis. “Soul of Strength” on the other hand is a fast-moving power yoga program with a distinct “mind-body” emphasis and some extremely challenging moves.
Sessions are done in a heated room and are made up of different cardiovascular exercises intended to develop strength and suppleness, increase endurance, improve the ability to concentrate, release stress and tensions and get rid of toxins through sweating.
Yoga poses are done at a swift pace. Some poses are held even longer than the necessary five breaths. This practice can increase physical stamina and the ability to concentrate on any task for a long time without losing focus.
What is the difference between core power yoga and other exercises?
Core power yoga is a vinyasa type that has a one of a kind program and focuses on core strength, balance and flow to build a solid practice based on strength and spirit. It offers different classes such as Hot Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Bootcamps, Teacher Trainings and Mat Pilates. It also provides superior instructors that are personally involved in students` progress; strong and compelling leaders who pay more notice to the students` needs. The teachers of this exercise work with the students to personalize their programs and create a sense of belonging and community. Lastly, it provides quality facilities equipped with top amenities and a balance aura.
It also offers immense health benefits; it lengthens and stretches the muscles and at the same time builds endurance, strength and lean muscle tissue. It increases body temperature, killing off some bacteria in the process and creates a finely tuned state of consciousness of the workings of the body. The focus of this form of yoga is on the coordination of the breath movement, connecting the body, mind and spirit to the highest level.
It’s best suited to those who desire to improve their performance in their chosen sports such as cycling, football, swimming, skiing, surfing, running/athletics, martial arts and other team sports. Some training grounds in sports practise this exercise in preparation for aerobics.
Core power yoga can reshape your body and mind!

The question is why we always go for childrens yoga and not any other work out.
These days it is very alarming how many children are suffering from psychosomatic disorders such as sleeping disturbances, eating disturbances, headaches and very often wrong posture like sagging shoulders as well as stress related to pressure, competition and aggression in school. Children today are under a lot of stress and strain. Grounding, pressure to compete with other children, endless after-school activities, over-working – it all adds up. And just like their parents, kids today are turning to Yoga to help them relax.
Children’s yoga can be great fun as well as being tremendously advantageous to a child’s health and well-being. Stretching will help children become more flexible as well as strengthening their arms and legs. Doing yoga helps children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and build up an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that stunning inner light that all children have to the surface. Yoga will also improve a child’s breathing and circulation. Regular yoga practice for children will make them calmer, more relaxed and much happier.
Another approach is to create a guided imagination by telling them a story with a calming theme of some sort.
As you know children have the most active mind’s eye, they imagine all sorts of things. So when doing children’s yoga let them think that they are walking on a green pasture.
You can even let them think that they are butterflies in a beautiful garden. The main idea in here is to instill a sense of peace and feeling of oneness with nature. Children’s yoga should be taught more often and in different places. It is important to teach children the meaning of union of mind, body and spirit.
