A human being is born and from that moment on they begin to age and grow up and to discover the wonders of existence. Along with existence can come many responsibilities. A person finds more and more burdens as their families grow, finances tighten, perhaps politics and the law change, economic cycles persist, and the person continues to age. This is why a person sometimes decides to step back and do something by trying the tradition that is beginning meditation.

If a person knows how to create peace on the inside, without help from the outside, they will find life easier to deal with. A person who possesses this skill can live in a world that is full of calamity, yet they can relax and see nature for just how beautiful it is. A person who can learn to love their life will embrace their existence.

In order to reduce the harmful consequences of stress and anxiety, a person must consider all options. There are expensive options that require money and pills and equipment and alterations in the diet of a human. But meditation is a simple tradition that does not require any of these, usually, and is widely accepted.

There are a plethora of types of meditation to consider learning. They are each different and boast different claims. A person will therefore want to investigate how much a type costs, what it offers, and how much the commitment will be. This is the only smart way to conduct a decision of value.

This is exactly why beginner meditation can be so intriguing as an option for humans. It reduces stress and calms people down to the point where they look forward to it every day. But yet it is not a commitment, so much as a pleasure, like eating or sleeping. It is nice for a safe and healthy method like this to exist.

And once a person learns how to meditate, in most cases, they will never have to invest any money again. They will know a technique and they can practice it wherever they see fit. This means that it is like the wise adage of a gift that keeps on giving.

A revolution is not the kind of paradigm shift that occurs overnight. It takes time for people to first learn about, then to consider, and finally to accept a new concept. The concept of meditating is not new, it is old, and people are finally learning to embrace it. This is why it is popular to learn a technique that last forever by beginning meditation.

“distractions Stopping Your Meditation? Find Out How Meditate Anytime Anywhere!”

Have you ever had distractions interrupt your meditation? Many of us would love to be able to get away to a quiet serene place when we want to meditate. But do you have this luxury? I mean if you’ve got kids, a spouse, flatmates, a dog…I mean the list of possible interruptions is endless. So what can we do about it?

A large part of this is simply changing the way that we think about these distractions. If a cars brakes irritates you but rain falling is soothing, then it’s just a matter of changing how you define these sounds to yourself. If you can change the way you think about sounds then you’re going to be able to meditate through anything. You can learn to use every sound to take you deeper into your meditation rather than interrupting it.

If you can really focus on the sound itself, not where it’s coming from. It’s all just a vibration, so there’s no fundamental difference between the soothing rainforest sounds and cars roaring past. Focus on the vibration and try not to think about the idea of the sound. Try not to judge the sound or define it, just accept it.

Give yourself plenty of time and perseverance to achieve this. You’re only human, sometimes it’ll work great and other times you’ll find yourself getting frustrated by every little noise…that’s fine. Don’t judge the sound and don’t judge yourself either. Accept it and you’ll find that next time that sound will only send you deeper.

Patience is also vital here. As with meditation itself, you need to let the process take time and unfold naturally. Trying to force it won’t help, and will probably hinder your progress.

If you can reach the point where every noise only serves to send you deeper into your meditative state, then you’ll literally be able to meditate wherever you want. You could try meditating in a noisy environment on purpose. Don’t expect too much from the process. This will help to desensitise you to distractions and often, by not expecting much, you’ll find that you achieve a whole lot! It’s a bit like putting in the time now and getting the results a little bit further down the track.

Another tool that helps immensely is using binaural audio tracks, these take you to a deep level of meditation and block out other sounds too. Often people have found that this is a great way to make the most out of the time they have available to meditate.

The Power Of Meditation

Meditation is a magnificent power. With meditation, you gain the desire to serve and the ability to achieve spiritual and worldly goals; you develop compassion, fearlessness, devine wisdom, renunciation, love, and freedom from the cycle of birth and death. Meditation allows us to meet with our spirit.

To mediate is to become deply silent, to keep listening to God. To listen is to become lost in God, perceiving Him in all of creation. Then one is merged with the Great Reality. No worldly pleasure can compare with the sweetness of this communion.

There are many yogic postures and methods of meditation but even by practising them you cannot attain God unless you feel the longing of love. God is Love, and God is too great for any method. It is God who pulls us to mediate, and it is God who teaches us how to love Him.

The only method of meditation that works is to offer God constant love. At first continually focus all your scattered attention on whatever form of God you worship, such as Jesus, Krishna, Shiva, Durga, or the Gurus. We can concentrate on God by repeating God’s Name. The energy which has been scattered among all our weakness will become focused on the positive negative thoughts will disappear and truth will be revealed.

The more we meditate, bringing our attention back again and again, the sooner it will return to its Home. Once it comes back Home, it will listen and it will rest. Then there will be only peace Start this way, and then God will show you the path. Make no demands, except for One. Oh God make me as you want me to be. On waking up in the morning thank God and do a bitof meditation. Go deep inside concentrating all your awareness on God. Then the whole day your mind will be focused on God nothing will bother you. The more you love God and practise meditation, your seaknesses and bad habits will be driven out and love and truth will be revealed as if dust were being cleaned from a mirror.

In deep meditation awareness of yourself ceases. You are unaware of the passing time and you do not become tired. Your breathing becomes fainter. People may beat drums or shout around you but you will not hear anything. Your soul maintains just enough connection to keep you alive.

Over time, very gradually the inner light will awaken in you. Your Isht will enter your heart and start loving and talking to you. As the Sikh Gurus say sometimes you laugh sometimes you cry and sometimes you become silent but you car for no one except God.
You will become detached from wordly things for you are always connected with the Truth. You will not care if people are looking at you or laughing at you for you are looking only at God, absorbed in the bliss of God’s Love.

Then you will not need to sit in meditation with your eyes closed in order to be aware of God. You will be joined with God at all times. Whether you are walking eating or talking to someone.

Yoga In Practice: Projecting Happiness

We are all human, living life with its many “ups and
downs,” but how can we keep our spirits up in difficult times? There are many types of Yoga, and not all are physical styles, like the many popular Hatha Yoga sub-styles. To name one that is not Hatha, and classified as one of the nine main Indian Yoga styles, there is Bhakti Yoga – the union of love, devotion, and worship.

The principle of Bhakti Yoga is universal to all people of all religions. A person who sings, prays, worships, and helps another person is practicing this form of Yoga – whether they have heard of Bhakti Yoga or not. It does not matter what religion you are because singing, praying, worshiping, forgiving, and helping are morally right.

To quote one of the most enlightened men of the 20th
century, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Therefore, life is a daily Yoga practice, even if you do not attend a Yoga class. When you help others, you are practicing Yoga. It could be argued that you are practicing other forms of Yoga, but that is not the purpose of this article. It is more important to understand that you can help others in many ways, and it does not have to cost you a fortune.

Projecting happiness is free and does not require a lot of money. Here are some ideas that will help you to be happier, and hopefully, more worry free. Whether you are a beginner, Yoga practitioner, Yoga teacher, or Master teacher of Yoga, you should spread happiness to everyone you meet.

Listen to everyone, regardless of his, or her, social
status. Let go of judgment; it makes fools of all of us. Pre-judgment is prejudice, and this is the one thing that prevents world peace. To some degree, we all have felt it, but you must discard it, suppress it, and never teach it.

You cannot listen if you are talking at the same time. The wisest and most educated person has learned that the purpose of listening is to understand; understanding is knowledge, and knowledge is power. There are times, when you cannot listen. This could be due to time restraints, the fact that you may have heard it all before, or possibly you do not consider this person’s opinion to be important.

My grandfather had a saying, “Even the court jester can teach you something about life.” Sometimes, we take the help, or opinions of others, for granted. How many times do we seek more information in order to make the best decision? The final decisions you make, in any given situation are entirely up to you, but when you can sit back and listen, that is time for learning.

Try to avoid arguments and stay the course of peaceful co-existence. You may not always be able to do this, but you should try to improve. You could keep a log of daily situations that end peacefully and those that did not.

This is not meant to make you feel guilty, but it is a
course in self-improvement.

You will then see your daily shortcomings and your success. Learn to develop your power of influence for the common good.

It does not matter who is right, especially, if your
intention is to proliferate happiness. Related to this, I share one more quote by Mahatma Gandhi.

“What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?” – Mahatma Gandhi

Think about these words, and how you can make the world around you a happier place. This concept is contagious, but it has to come from within and spread worldwide.

Yoga For Children With Hyperactivity & Attention Deficit Disorder

The practice of yoga is widely believed to have the ability to help the hyperactive and attention-deficit child. Children in general love to move, but children with short attention spans crave movement and sensory/motor stimulus. By calming and focusing the child, yet still incorporating movement, yoga helps channel those impulses in a positive way. The tree pose and the warrior pose seem to work especially well as they help instill confidence, calm, and balance. The trick is to help the child get beyond just “doing” the posture. Try to get them to use their imaginations and think about what the poses mean, to become like the aspects of nature they’re mimicking.

When practicing yoga in the classroom or at home with your children, it’s a good idea to use some partner poses to develop trust. The children develop team skills when working with each other on the poses, and it also fosters bonding. Some children have a difficult time closing their eyes while others have no trouble relaxing. I once had my eight-year-old son ask me if we could have an extra long relaxation session. He knew that he needed more time to relax! Visualization is a wonderful technique to use with children that encourages relaxation. This is great to do after watching a kids yoga DVD or when getting ready for bed.

A good approach to relaxation is to create a story or guided visualization with a calming theme. For example, you can ask your children to imagine themselves walking in a green meadow. “Look at the beautiful trees and the butterflies…Smell the fresh air. Listen to the birds singing….” You get the idea. The goal is to evoke a sense of peace, a feeling of oneness with nature, and a feeling of safety. Another technique is to have them listen to some soft music and focus on belly breathing. You might ask them to imagine they are swimming at the beach, playing their favorite sport, or doing some other activity they enjoy.

When doing yoga in the classroom, since it’s likely the children won’t be going to sleep after the exercise (depending on their age), try to encourage them to share their own experiences with the visualization/relaxation process. Their stories, ideas and questions can easily be addressed in a way that fosters a learning experience for the whole class. While it seems that hyperactivity and ADD are diagnoses that are commonly thrown around in this day and age, really what kids are suffering from is over-stimulation and a lack of connection with the essentials that truly keep them healthy.
