Spiritual Life Coaching: Guided Meditation for Healing Your Childhood Trauma

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

This Spiritual Life Coaching exercise will help you to forge a new and transformational path of peace, joy, and tranquility. It is a guided meditation for those who seek to heal their primal wound and early childhood trauma. If you practice it once three times a week for three months, you should begin to transcend your emotional pain-body and dissolve your toxic emotions…for good.

1. Become comfortable in a meditative position and close your eyes.

2. Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth just behind your teeth. Keep it there throughout the entire meditation. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose from your stomach, allowing the air to push your lower belly out. Repeat this seven times, focusing your attention on your breath.

3. Visualize the time in your childhood when you experienced your first trauma, no matter how slight or how severe.

4. Now focus on that event for a few moments. See the person who inflicted the trauma, whether it was a parent, sibling, classmate, friend, whomever. If it was more than one person then visualize every person involved. Focus on this time in your life until you have a clear picture of it in your mind.

5. All of the pain in your life stems back to this one event, this primal wound. It is time now to heal this pain, and retrieve your soul. There is a hidden treasure that lies at the heart of this trauma.

6. Visualize the eyes of the person who caused this primal, first wounding. See their suppressed pain in their own eyes. As you’re observing this, know in your heart of hearts that they simply didn’t know any better. Know that if they knew better, they would never have hurt you. They were only reacting from their own place of pain, inflicted by someone else when they were a child.

7. Now send the person responsible for your childhood trauma pure white light emanating from your beating heart. Send them love and forgiveness through the light. Send them the thought wave, saying “I forgive you and understand that you were hurt too.” Stay here in this place, for as long as you need, pulsing the white light from your heart toward them with every beat and then visualize the light engulfing their entire body until you see them smile. After you see them smile, keep visualizing the pulsating light until their body is completely engulfed in white light.

8. Now release them with unconditional love and forgiveness.

How To Cleanse Your Chakras Through Meditation?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

According to the ancient Vedic philosophy, the harmonious functioning of our chakras ensures our overall physical and mental well-being. Guided meditation is one of the simplest self-help techniques used for chakra-cleansing. Practicing the following steps once a week can help contribute to your overall health and well being-

Step 1- Lie down or sit in a comfortable position

Step 2- close your eyes and deep breathe

Step 3- Focus on your breathing

Step 4- Imagine that you are taking in light and energy with every in-breath and exhaling all your stress with every out breath

Step5- After a while you’ll start feeling calm and relaxed

Step6- Now imagine a white beam of light entering your body through soles of your feet

Step 7- Let it travel to the base of your spine, feel it circulating in that area and let it dissolve all the blockages from your root chakra. See the blockages as black soot covering your chakra. As the black soot disappears it will reveal your earthy red root chakra. Tell yourself “I am grounded and confident”

Step 8- Let the light now move up towards your sacral chakra, below your navel, around your genital area. Let the light dissolve away all the blockages from this chakra, see it as a whirling orange mass or an orange colored spinning wheel. Tell yourself “I release all my fears and express my desires freely”.

Step 9- See the light clearing your solar-plexus (6 inches above your navel). Let this whirling white light cleanse your bright yellow chakra. Tell yourself “I accept myself the way I am and I respect others for who they are”

Step 10- Let the light now move up towards your heart chakra. Watch it cleanse your chakra, feel the throbbing pink/red/green chakra in the area between your breasts. Tell yourself “I now accept and give love freely”

Step 11- Feel the light move in a circular motion around your throat area. Watch it cleanse your throat chakra; you’ll see a pale blue spinning wheel or blue colored spinning mass of light emerge. Tell yourself “I now express myself freely and without fear”

Step 12- Let the light move to your third eye chakra, the area between your eyebrows. Feel it cleanse your indigo/violet colored chakra. Tell yourself “I am focused, alert and at peace with myself”

Step 12- Let the light finally move up towards the crown of your head. See it move upwards towards the sky. Now silently pray for guidance and request the universe to silence your ego and help you achieve a higher level of consciousness

Step 13- Relax

Step 12- Slowly, open your eyes

This guided meditation technique is a combination of meditation, hypnosis and positive affirmations. In case you feel it will be difficult for you to remember each and every step while meditating, record these steps as instructions to yourself on a tape or cd and play it before you sit down to mediate. Make sure give a time gap of at least 2-3 minutes between each instruction.

Easy Guided Meditation Techniques

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Guided meditation involves the use of another person to guide you through the process of preparing to meditate and will teach you how to engage in meditation. This is a very helpful way to start if you are new to meditating.

The guidance you receive will teach you what you need to know to be able to meditate on your own after a few sessions. You don’t have to have an actual person in the room with you to do this type of meditation with the numerous free resources available online in the form of free downloads and CD’s. There are also sites to which you can subscribe and there are others where you can purchase the CD’s containing guided meditations.

The main thing that you will learn from guided meditation techniques is that you should allot ten to thirty minutes a day for yourself. You can choose to have one session or several short ones – whatever works best for you. For each session, you do need to have a quiet area just for you. This could be a room in your home or a corner of your desk where you can be alone. It does have to be a place where you feel peaceful and can relax.

The first step in guided meditation is to prepare your body. To do this you must relax. One guided meditation technique that is easy to learn for this purpose is that of Sweet Breath. This is called Yogic Breathing in which you pull in the life force when you inhale and get rid of the negative energy when you exhale. You should repeat this exercise ten times to feel completely relaxed.

Place the thumb of your left hand over your left nostril, with the two fingers next to your thumb curled into the palm of your hand. Place your ring finger on your right nostril. Close your left nostril with your thumb and inhale through your right nostril. Now close your right nostril with your ring finger and exhale through your left nostril. Inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right.

When the left nostril is clear, this tells you that the energy is flowing well through the right side of your brain. This part of the brain is associated with creativity. When the right nostril is clear, the left side of your brain, associated with logical thinking, has positive energy flowing through it.

Breathing is the main technique in relaxing your body in guided meditation techniques. The guidance you receive from the download, CD, or whatever source you choose will help you use mantras, vibrations, and other mediums for meditation. You will develop a repertoire of techniques that you can use in different situations to make you more able to meditate for longer periods of time and to gain more out of session.

Even the posture you choose is a guided meditation technique that you can use to your advantage. If you tend to fall asleep easily when meditating, then you should learn a position that will help you stay awake. While the lotus position is uncomfortable and takes practice to master, it will help you achieve the goal of remaining awake. Your clothing must be loose and comfortable and choosing a point of focus can really help you achieve the degree of concentration you want.

Breathing is the main technique in relaxing your body in guided meditation techniques. The guidance you receive from the download, CD, or whatever source you choose will help you use mantras, vibrations, and other mediums for meditation.

As the benefits of meditation are many, so are the meditation techniques, especially guided meditation techniques. The foremost questions that come in the mind of the seeker are: what is meditation? What are the benefits of meditation? Which meditation technique is the best for me? Do I need to do daily meditation? In addition, do I need to have a separate meditation room to practice meditation techniques?

The whole objective of meditation is to allow people to concentrate their senses on one particular element. This can be their breathing, their sight or the sounds they hear. This can refer to any activity that frees a person from the fears of the past or worries of the future.

Meditation is often used in conjunction with other kinds of complimentary therapies for cancer patients, like massage therapy, biofeedback therapy, hypnosis therapy, acupuncture therapy, etc. Meditation is not a cure for cancer. There are various methods of meditation. Yoga, prayer, Vipassana, Sufism, etc. Each of these forms helps to meditate. Meditation is best done in early the morning and in a quiet place. To gain the maximum benefits of meditation, it is best to do it consistently at the same time, everyday. This helps create a pattern and make it easier to concentrate. Meditation helps keep the mind and soul young and healthy. It is a healthy practice that helps distress and relaxes. Select a peaceful place and begin Meditation. If you can perform it at a set time everyday that will be better.

It was also a controversy about a mental patient practitioner of Transcendental Meditation technique which has stabbed another practitioner. Complaints allege that the school teaches the technique could not be aware of the mental condition of the individual disturbed.

What is a Public Display of Meditation?

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

If you’re at all familiar with meditation then you know that the types of meditation available today are endless (and the benefits are endless too!) and you might even be familiar with Public Displays of Meditation.

Let me refresh your memory with some of the more common types of meditation:

* Transcendental Meditation (otherwise known as TM)

* Buddhist Meditation

* Chakra Meditation

* Healing Meditation

* Guided Meditation

* Osho Meditation

* Vippassana Meditation

* Mindfulness Meditation

Does PDM ring a bell?

“PD What?”
You’re asking yourself?

PDM = Public Display of Meditation

Max Simon, a meditation guru and entrepreneur based out of L.A., has started the movement of Public Displays of Meditation. A public display of meditation is exactly what it sounds like…meditating in a public location. Max gathers groups of people and heads out onto the streets of whatever city he’s in. They find the busiest location possible, sit down and start meditating when Max gives them the sign.

You’re probably wondering what the point of meditating in a busy place is? And don’t people usually meditate in quiet , private places?

Meditating in a busy place does create more distractions. But the cool thing is that having more outside distractions often encourages people to go deeper into their meditation practice. Rather than focusing on the outer world, people focus on the inner self and become deeply absorbed in their practice. And of course you’ll still reap all the benefits of meditation when you engage in Public Displays of Meditation.

I met Max in December 2009 and was part of his PDM group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We went to a very busy mall and sat down along a wall for our meditation session. I remember I was excited and nervous to try this out because I didn’t believe I’d be able to meditate in a public place. The results were shocking and I’m pleased to report that I had my deepest meditation experience ever! For you curious cats out there, give this a try at least once. I can almost guarantee you won’t be disappointed

To get a better idea of what I’m talking about, watch the PDM video below!

Guided Meditation- Related Information About Yoga Meditation

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

If you are looking for information about guided meditation, you will find the below related article very helpful. It provides a refreshing perspective that is much related to guided meditation and in some manner related to distance healing, SN Goenka books supplier, meditation techniques mp3 or meditation technique. It isn’t the same old kind of information that you will find elsewhere on the Internet relating to guided meditation.

Meditation chairs are available in different sizes. Medium-sized meditation chairs are the most popular. Smaller meditation chairs are designed to suit those who meditate on a great deal. There are specialist meditation chairs enabling you to sit comfortably in an appropriate posture. In addition to meditation chairs, there are meditation benches, tilt chairs and inflatable cushions that serve the same purpose. Meditation chairs have proven to be very effective for beginners to get through their beginning stages of meditation.

There are two basic approaches to meditation. The first is called concentrative meditation. It involves focusing the mind to one particular natural element such as sound or breathing. It can be comparable to a camera lens that can zoom in on a particular object. A famous example of concentrative meditation is breathing meditation. Here, a person tries to concentrate on his or her breathing until such a time when it becomes slow and calm. This state of breathing reflects a relaxed consciousness, one that is free from any anxieties or worries.

Meditation is a process of relaxing the mind and the body to release stress and recharge the self. Medicators use various types of meditation to contact their energy body to enable overall health. However, it is found that an effective timer is required to make mediators aware of time lapsed while meditating. Meditation timers are designed to enable mediators clock their meditation time.

Many people forget that they can get more information about any subject matter, be it guided meditation information or any other on any of the major search engines like Google.com. If you need more information about guided meditation, head on to Google.com and be more informed.

Choosing the best meditation method to start with is worth taking some time over. There are so many different meditative techniques available that it can be hard to choose where to start.

In the beginning it is a technique. By practicing that technique regularly you will soon discover that meditation actually is a quality of the consciousness and your being. This process can be roughly described by the following scheme: (1) Deep relaxation – (2) Quieting the mind – (3) Witnessing without making any judgments – (4) Entering the meditation state.

The first three states of this technique of meditation are awakening, dream and dream sleep less. These states are usually the countries that can be achieved in many other meditation techniques, not just one.

We discovered that many people who were also searching for information related to guided meditation also searched online for related information such as Zafu, meditation pillow, and even meditation techniques online.

Thought works in a few ways. That is, meditation intermittently helps you to find what works best for you. You commence to comprehend your goals and can then set plans to reach those goals.
